Start exercising, you’ll feel better and burn off calories, even after the exercise is over. Exercising yields many benefits. When you exercise regularly, your body produces more serotonin. Serotonin is the happy hormone. Without it, you feel really rotten. People who don’t exercise typically have much lower serotonin levels than those who do. Exercise also keeps your metabolism running at a higher level. This means more calories burned even when you are not exercising.
When you want to lose weight fast, you need to approach the problem from both sides. You need a sensible diet and you need to exercise. Losing weight too fast can be both hazardous to your health and counterproductive because of the rebound effect. One thing to remember is weight loss is not linear. Your first few pounds will come off much easier than the last pound. As you lose weight, your body becomes increasingly resistant to any additional weight loss. The closer you get to your ideal weight, the more your body will resist letting go of those last few pounds. Diet and exercise go together if you want to lose weight and keep it off. You don’t want to be that jogger who has not lost a single pound but is running all around the neighborhood for years in the same sweat soaked running outfit. Do it right and the weight will come off quickly and safely.
